Plant and piping engineering, from model to fabrication drawings.
Piping design, stress analysis and plant modelling for facilities where layout, access and safety all depend on getting the model right.
What we deliver
Piping and plant engineering that supports efficient design and operation.
We work from P&IDs, piping specifications, general arrangement drawings and 3D equipment and structural models to produce coordinated piping deliverables.
3D piping modelling
Piping models built in plant design software and coordinated with equipment and structure.
Support design and modelling
Standard and special piping supports designed and modelled.
Piping stress and flexibility analysis
Stress and flexibility checks on piping systems, with recommendations.
Isometric and fabrication drawings
Piping isometrics and fabrication drawings extracted from the 3D model.
Utility piping routing
Routing of utility piping within the plant layout.
Model conversion and database set-up
Conversion between plant design platforms, and plant design database creation and customisation.

Frequently asked questions
What inputs do you need for a piping design package?
Typically P&IDs, piping specifications, general arrangement drawings and 3D equipment and structural models. If some inputs are missing, we list the gaps at the start so assumptions are agreed rather than guessed.
Can you convert an existing plant model to another platform?
Yes. Conversion of plant models between design platforms, and creation and customisation of plant design databases, are part of our plant engineering services.
Do you perform piping stress analysis?
Yes. We carry out piping stress and flexibility analysis and report the results with recommendations for supports and routing changes.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.
How do we get started?
Send us a short brief, or a sample work package, through the contact form. We confirm scope, inputs, deliverables and review points with you, and a small pilot package is a common way to begin, before committing to a larger programme.
