Machinery and heavy engineering support, from early concept to shop drawings.
We join machinery and equipment projects at concept stage or at detail stage, and prepare the models, analysis and drawings that take a design into fabrication.
What we support
Where machine builders and fabricators use us.
Machine builders carry long drawing lists and short delivery windows. We add design and documentation capacity, and bring analysis skills when a design needs checking.
Machinery and assemblies
Frames, mechanisms, guards, drives and assemblies designed from your concept, with the mechanical detail worked out.
Large fabrications and structures
Weldments, platforms, supports and heavy structures, detailed for fabrication with clear weld and material information.
Plant equipment
Vessels, skids, supports and equipment packages, coordinated with piping and electrical interfaces.
Product improvement
Redesign for cost, weight, serviceability or easier manufacture, with the drawings updated to match.
Deliverables
What you can expect back
- 3D models and assemblies organised to suit your product structure.
- General arrangement, assembly and fabrication drawings with bills of material.
- Weldment detailing with material, weld and finish information.
- Structural and thermal analysis summaries for critical parts, with loads and assumptions stated.
- As-built and revision updates, so drawings match what was made.

Before you start
What we need from you at the start.
- Concept or specification. A layout, a sketch, a reference machine or a written specification, whichever you have.
- Standards. The codes, drawing practice and units your project follows.
- Fabrication context. Your shop's capabilities and preferred methods, which shape the detail.
- Design responsibility. Final sign-off and any statutory approvals remain with your licensed or responsible engineers.
- A pilot. One assembly or one drawing package is a quick way to judge quality and communication.
Frequently asked questions
Can you start from a rough concept, or do you need a finished design?
Either. Some clients give us a layout and ask us to develop the design. Others hand over a signed-off design for detailing. We agree the scope and the review points first.
Can you check a design as well as draw it?
Yes. Structural and thermal analysis can be added to a design package, so strength and stiffness are checked before drawings are released.
Who is responsible for the final design?
Your own responsible engineers. We prepare models, drawings and analysis for your review, and we do not replace your sign-off or statutory approvals.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.
How do we get started?
Send us a short brief, or a sample work package, through the contact form. We confirm scope, inputs, deliverables and review points with you, and a small pilot package is a common way to begin, before committing to a larger programme.
