Process and plant engineering for oil, gas and process facilities.

We support engineering contractors, consultants and plant owners with piping, layout, stress and detail engineering for chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, nuclear and oil and gas facilities.

What we support

Where plant engineering teams use us.

Plant projects create sharp peaks of drawing and model work. We add trained piping, layout and documentation engineers for the duration of a project or a bid.

  • Piping design and layout

3D piping models, equipment layouts, isometrics and material take-offs to your project specification.

  • Stress and flexibility analysis

Piping stress analysis and support design, with results summarised for your review.

  • Detail engineering

Structural, equipment and utility detailing, with drawings and bills of material to client requirements.

  • Revamps and documentation

As-built updates, model conversion and drawing recovery for existing facilities.

Deliverables

What you can expect back

  • 3D piping and equipment models organised by area, unit or system.
  • Plot plans, equipment layouts and piping general arrangement drawings.
  • Isometrics, material take-offs and support drawings.
  • Stress analysis reports, with load cases and results summarised.
  • As-built updates, so documents match the facility.

Services we bring to this sector.

Before you start

What we need from you at the start.

  • Project specification. Piping classes, codes, drawing standard and deliverable list.
  • Responsibility. Design approval, stamping and statutory sign-off remain with your responsible engineers. We prepare the engineering data.
  • Inputs. P&IDs, equipment data, layouts and any reference models, issued with revision control.
  • Safety-critical and regulated work. For nuclear, pharmaceutical and similar facilities, tell us your quality and documentation requirements at the start.
  • A pilot. One system or one drawing package shows quality, turnaround and your review needs.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work to our client's piping specifications?

Yes. We work to the specification, codes and drawing standard your project uses, and confirm them with you before starting.

Can you support stress analysis as well as drawings?

Yes. We perform piping stress and flexibility analysis and support design, with results summarised for your review. Approval stays with your responsible engineers.

Can you update drawings for an existing facility?

Yes. We can update drawings to as-built condition, convert existing models to another plant design platform, or rebuild documents from scans and legacy drawings.

How is our intellectual property protected?

Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.

How do we get started?

Send us a short brief, or a sample work package, through the contact form. We confirm scope, inputs, deliverables and review points with you, and a small pilot package is a common way to begin, before committing to a larger programme.
