Engineering outsourcing: Middle East and Africa
Project-scale engineering, in almost the same working day.
Gulf and East African teams are only 1.5 to 2.5 hours behind India. That means live collaboration through most of your day on plant, power and infrastructure work.

Why work with us
Why project teams in the region use our engineers.
Large projects create sharp peaks of engineering work: documentation to issue, layouts to revise, clients waiting for drawings. A team that works your hours can absorb them.
Built for project peaks
Add design and documentation engineers for the duration of a project or a bid, then release them at hand-over.
Plant and electrical depth
Piping, plant layout, switchgear, control panel and automation engineering from a team used to industrial projects.
A shared working day
Questions are answered while you are still at your desk, which keeps drawing review cycles short.
Respect for the local calendar
We plan around your weekend, public holidays and Ramadan working hours instead of treating them as surprises.
Where we fit into projects
From bid support to as-built documentation.
We support EPC contractors, consultants, fabricators and plant owners at different stages of a project.
Bid and proposal engineering
Layouts, equipment lists, preliminary drawings and material take-offs to help you meet a bid deadline.
Detail engineering
Piping isometrics, structural detailing, equipment drawings and bills of material to client specifications.
Electrical design
Single-line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules and panel layouts.
As-built and handover documentation
Updating drawings and models to reflect what was built, ready for the owner.
Time zones
Working-day overlap with India.
The Gulf and East Africa are between 1.5 and 2.5 hours behind India, South Africa is 3.5 hours behind and West Africa 4.5 to 5.5 hours behind. Most of your working day overlaps with ours.
| Your location | Overlap with an India working day | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| United Arab Emirates and Oman | About 7 to 8 hours | Near-continuous collaboration, with daily reviews at any point in the day. |
| Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain | About 7 to 8 hours | Reviews through the morning and early afternoon, with work progressed after your day ends. |
| East Africa (Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania) | About 7 to 8 hours | Close collaboration, with a long shared day. |
| South Africa | About 6 to 7 hours | Reviews from late morning, with work progressed after your day ends. |
| West Africa (Nigeria, Ghana) | About 4 to 5 hours | Reviews through your morning and early afternoon, with our day ending just after yours. |
Illustrative, assuming a 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. working day in India and a 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. day in your location. Working weeks differ across the region, so we agree a calendar that covers your weekend, public holidays and Ramadan hours.
Before you start
What to settle before work starts.
- Confidentiality and IP. Put the non-disclosure agreement and intellectual property terms in place first. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement.
- Standards and specifications. Tell us the project standards, such as API, ASME, IEC or ISO, and the client or consultant specifications that apply, and we will work to them.
- Working calendar. Weekends and public holidays differ by country, and working hours change during Ramadan. Agree the calendar and review times at the start.
- Vendor registration. If you or your client need suppliers to be registered or to complete a questionnaire, share it and we will respond.
- Regulatory responsibility. Approvals, certification and sign-off remain with you or your registered professionals. We support the engineering work that feeds them.
- A pilot first. A small, well-defined work package lets you judge quality and communication before a larger commitment.

Frequently asked questions
Can you work around Friday and Saturday weekends?
Yes. We agree a shared calendar at the start, covering your weekend, public holidays and reduced hours during Ramadan, and plan the hand-over and review times around it.
Does Profesyst have an office in the Middle East or Africa?
No. Profesyst delivers from its engineering centres in Bengaluru and Pune, India. Onsite support at your facility can be discussed for projects that need it.
Can you support plant, piping and electrical projects?
Yes. Plant layout, piping design and stress analysis, switchgear and control panel design, and PLC and SCADA systems are among our core services. We agree which project stages we cover when we scope the work.
How do we handle different working weeks and holidays?
We agree a shared calendar at the start that covers your weekend, public holidays and any change in hours during Ramadan, and we plan review calls around it.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.
How do we get started?
Send us a short brief, or a sample work package, through the contact form. We confirm scope, inputs, deliverables and review points with you, and a small pilot package is a common way to begin, before committing to a larger programme.
