Automotive engineering support, from component design to validation.

We have supported automotive programmes for over 16 years, from body-in-white and interiors to underbody parts, with analysis and documentation that fit your release process.

What we support

Where automotive teams use us.

Vehicle programmes run on tight gates and many suppliers. We add design and analysis capacity to the parts of the programme that need it, and work in your tools and your release process.

  • Body-in-white

Sheet-metal parts, brackets and reinforcements, with joining, tolerance and manufacturing feasibility considered as the design develops.

  • Interiors and trim

Plastic and trim components, mounting and clip design, and drawings that follow your part structure and numbering.

  • Underbody and chassis parts

Component design and checks for strength and durability, supported by structural analysis.

  • Weight optimisation and manufacturability

Design reviews and analysis aimed at removing mass and cost while keeping parts producible.

Deliverables

What you can expect back

  • 3D part and assembly models built to your structure, naming and release conventions.
  • Detail and assembly drawings, with bills of material and revision history.
  • Structural and durability analysis summaries that state the loads, assumptions and results.
  • Design-for-manufacture comments on parts before tooling is committed.
  • Updated models and drawings for engineering changes, with a clear change summary.

Services we bring to this sector.

Before you start

What we need from you at the start.

  • Release process. Your model structure, part numbering, naming and drawing standard, so our output drops straight into your system.
  • Inputs. Package space, interfaces, loads or load cases, materials and any supplier or customer requirements.
  • Regulatory and customer rules. Homologation and customer sign-off stay with you. We prepare the engineering data that feeds them.
  • Review points. Who reviews, how often, and what a finished deliverable looks like.
  • A pilot. A single component family or change batch is a low-risk way to judge quality and turnaround.

Frequently asked questions

Can you work in our CAD environment and release process?

Yes. We work in the environment, templates and conventions you specify, and agree the model structure, naming and checking method before the first package starts.

Do you support validation, or only design?

We support the engineering side of validation: analysis to check a design, and documentation of results. Physical testing and homologation remain with you and your test partners.

Can you help reduce part weight or cost?

Yes. Weight and cost reviews, supported by structural analysis, are a common request. We report options and the trade-offs, and your team decides which to take forward.

How is our intellectual property protected?

Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.

How do we get started?

Send us a short brief, or a sample work package, through the contact form. We confirm scope, inputs, deliverables and review points with you, and a small pilot package is a common way to begin, before committing to a larger programme.
