Engineering outsourcing: Germany, Austria and Switzerland
A working day that overlaps yours, and drawings that follow your practice.
Engineering-led manufacturers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can add a team that joins morning reviews and works to DIN and ISO conventions.
- Live overlapAbout 5 to 6 hours every day
- Time differenceIndia is 3.5 to 4.5 hours ahead
- ConventionsDIN and ISO, metric units
- LanguageEnglish; German annotations by agreement
Why work with us
Why engineering-led manufacturers add a partner in India.
Specialised machine and equipment makers need engineers who follow their own drawing practice. Capacity is usually the constraint, and an offshore partner adds it without long recruitment cycles.
Capacity on demand
Add designers and analysts for a project or a defined period, then release them when the work eases.
Your drawing practice
DIN and ISO conventions, metric units and your own templates and part numbering.
Live collaboration
Five to six hours of working-day overlap, so reviews and questions happen the same day.
Specialist skills when needed
CAE, plant, piping and electrical engineering for work you do not do every week.
Where it fits
Work that benefits from a shared working day.
Typical packages are scoped with you before work starts.
Variant and range extension
New sizes and options built from existing designs, with models, drawings and parts lists kept consistent.
Drawing and documentation packages
Detail drawings, assembly drawings and bills of material to your standard.
Analysis support
Structural and thermal analysis of critical parts, with assumptions and results summarised.
Electrical and plant documentation
Schematics, panel documents, layouts and piping documents for machines and plants.
Time zones
Working-day overlap with India.
Germany, Austria and Switzerland share Central European time. India is 4.5 hours ahead in winter and 3.5 hours ahead in summer, so most of your working day overlaps with ours.
| Season | Overlap with an India working day | How it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Winter (CET) | About 5 hours | Live reviews from your morning until early afternoon; the evening for hand-over. |
| Summer (CEST) | About 6 hours | Live reviews through your morning and afternoon, with a short hand-over. |
| Clock-change weeks | Varies by a week or two | Europe and the US change clocks on different dates; we confirm the schedule in advance. |
Illustrative, assuming a 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. working day in India and a 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. day in Central Europe. Hours can be adjusted by agreement.
Before you start
What to settle before work starts.
- Confidentiality and IP. Put the non-disclosure agreement and intellectual property terms in place first. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement.
- Drawing conventions. Tell us your standard, your projection method (European practice is first-angle projection), your units and your templates.
- Language. Our working language is English. If your drawings or specifications carry German annotations, share a glossary and agree how annotations are handled.
- Personal data. Engineering files rarely hold personal data. If yours do, agree data protection terms first. Our own handling of personal data is described in the privacy notice.
- Regulatory responsibility. Conformity, certification and CE marking remain with the manufacturer. We support the engineering work that feeds them.
- A pilot first. A small, well-defined work package lets you judge quality and communication before a larger commitment.

How an engagement starts.
Share a brief
Send the scope, inputs and standards. We sign an NDA first if you ask.
Agree a pilot
We define a small work package with clear deliverables and review points.
Deliver and review
We deliver, you review, and we feed corrections into the next package.
Scale
Add engineers or work packages as confidence grows.
Frequently asked questions
Can your engineers join our regular calls?
Yes. With five to six hours of overlap, many teams include our engineers in a morning call and an early-afternoon review, and use the evening for the hand-over.
Does Profesyst have an office in Germany, Austria or Switzerland?
No. Profesyst delivers from its engineering centres in Bengaluru and Pune, India. Onsite support at your facility can be discussed for projects that need it.
Can your engineers work to DIN and ISO drawing practice?
Yes. We work to the standards, units and templates you specify and confirm them with you before starting.
Can we send German-language drawings?
Our working language is English. Drawings with German annotations can be handled if you provide a glossary and we agree how annotations should appear in the output.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.
