FEA and CFD analysis services that inform design decisions early.
Structural, thermal, fatigue, impact and flow analysis, documented clearly enough that your reviewers can trace every assumption to every result.
What we deliver
Simulation that answers a specific engineering question.
Analysis is most valuable when it is run early enough to influence the design. We agree the decision each analysis needs to support, then build the model around it.
Finite element modelling
Meshing and model preparation for parts, assemblies and structures.
Static and dynamic analysis
Linear and non-linear static analysis, plus dynamic response.
Thermal and fatigue analysis
Heat transfer, thermal stress and life estimation under cyclic loading.
Crash, impact and mould flow
Crash and impact analysis, and mould flow analysis for plastic parts.
Mechanism and multi-body analysis
Motion, loads and interactions in assemblies with moving parts.
Design and weight optimisation
Analysis-led changes that reduce weight or improve performance.
Computational fluid dynamics
Flow and heat transfer, from simple ducts to complex machines.
Our CFD engineers prepare unstructured meshes and run steady-state and transient simulations across a range of flow conditions.
- Incompressible and compressible flows.
- Steady-state and transient flows.
- Laminar and turbulent flows.
- Multiphase flows, free-surface flows and cavitation.
- Radiation heat transfer.
- Distributed resistances, buoyancy and rotation.
What we need to start an analysis
Geometry
CAD models or drawings of the part, assembly or flow domain.
Loads and conditions
Operating loads, boundary conditions and duty cycles.
Materials
Material properties, or the material specification so we can source them.
Acceptance criteria
The limits, allowable stresses or targets the result is judged against.
Frequently asked questions
Which simulation software do you use?
Our teams work on the major CAE platforms for structural, dynamic, thermal and flow analysis. We select the solver around your standards and environment, subject to project scope and resource availability.
What will we receive at the end of an analysis?
A report that records the objective, assumptions, loads, boundary conditions, results and recommendations, so your reviewers can trace each result back to its inputs. Model files are shared where agreed.
Can analysis start from a concept, or only from a finished design?
Both. Early, simplified models help compare concepts quickly. More detailed models validate a near-final design, and we can help you decide which depth is justified at each stage.
How is our intellectual property protected?
Your designs and data remain yours. Every Profesyst employee signs a non-disclosure agreement, and we agree intellectual property and confidentiality terms in writing before work starts. Our engineering centres run on controlled infrastructure with physical and data security, network security on every workstation, regular information security audits and remote backup of sensitive data.
How do we get started?
Send us a short brief, or a sample work package, through the contact form. We confirm scope, inputs, deliverables and review points with you, and a small pilot package is a common way to begin, before committing to a larger programme.
